As you read this, we are delighted to be able to announce that we have just recently won 1st place for the London Region Norwich Union Sporting Initiative, which is £12,500 prize money, this is called the Norwich Union Sporting Initiative "Silver" prize.

We are now hoping to win the main prize which is a further £50,000 prize money, this is called the Norwich Union Sporting Initiative "Gold" prize. Our application will be judged against winners from the other 11 regions across the whole of the UK.

A huge shout-out and thanks to all those who helped our club by voting and/or getting further votes for our initiative - it was a close run result after being in 1st place for most of the year. However we suddenly found ourselves in second place, so had a lot of catching up to do as the end of the competition drew near - latterly, we were in second place until the last day of the competition! This amazing result has only been possible through people being involved and committed within the club - a great many people and the friends/families of these people have shown considerable tenacity and simply made it happen - everybody has pulled together - a truly amazing team effort - well done one and all..!!
